  • Kirk Pollard P.G. - President

    Kirk graduated from Campbell University in 1983 with a B.S. in geology. He proceeded to work in the hazardous waste section in North Carolina where his responsibilities included proper closure of hazardous waste disposal facilities, RCRA part B hazardous waste permit applications, and RCRA land disposal closure plans.

    Kirk has over 42 years of experience in the environmental consulting field with supervisory oversight for major work efforts consisting of projects ranging from phase I and phase II environmental site assessments, UST closures, hazardous waste management, CERCLA related programs (including Brownfields redevelopment activities), and major groundwater and soil remediation projects.

  • Samuel "Jimmy" Hair - Vice President

    Jimmy has over 29 years of experience in the environmental field. He has worked at sites with many different constituents of concern including metals, pesticides, chlorinated solvents, and petroleum compounds. His experience includes the design and installation of soil and groundwater remediation systems and the operation and maintenance (O&M) of these systems. Over the last 20 years, Mr. Hair has installed over 100 soil and groundwater remediation systems and was responsible for the regular O&M of more than 200 different systems. These include systems utilizing multi-phase vapor extraction, soil vapor extraction, air sparging, and pump and treat with air stripping and/orNPDES discharge.

    Jimmy has conducted extensive field sampling at sites regulated under various programs including RCRA, CERCLA, UST, and the Aquifer Protection Section. He is familiar with the necessary QA/QC protocol required under each program and has been audited by EPA personnel on numerous occasions.

  • Evan Pollard - P.G

    Evan joined Mineral Springs Environmental in 2012 as a field technician where he was involved in soil and water sampling, UST removals, and groundwater and soil remediation system installations.

    In 2018 Evan graduated from East Carolina University with a B.S. in geology. Since graduation he has conducted and overseen dozens of phase I and phase II environmental site assessments, site check’s, UST closures, aggressive fluid and vapor recovery events, and ground water remediation system design and installations.

  • Sally Pollard - Vice President

    Sally graduated from Campbell University in 1982 with a B.S. in Education. She proceeded to work in marketing and sales with Doxey Furniture and Dorothy’s Curtains. She continued her sales profession as a property manager of several large apartment development projects. Sally also worked as a labor analyst and secured her real estate license.

    In 2004, Sally was instrumental in the formulation of Mineral Springs Environmental PC. As vice president she has been responsible for accounts receivable and payable aspects, all insurance and other procurement and health and safety. Sally has performed Phase I environmental site assessments. Other field activities have included sample preparation and soil sampling activities. She is also instrumental in marketing activities.
